Literature Text

Beauty's un-attainable like the sun,
we like to bask in its warm special glow;
The chase of it can sometimes be so fun,
but hurts us all in ways we'll never know.

Determination glows like a bright flame,
that takes a sabbatical to ignite;
Once it appears you will call it by name,
and it will not leave without a grand fight.

Grace and perfection will go hand in hand,
and can sometimes be greatly deceiving;
Individualistic grains of sand,
that might just once reveal their true meaning.

Disappointment is the killer of all,
But we are strong and we will not fall.
The title is kinda strange, i know... Shakespere numbered most of his sonnets. and if you read those sonnets all in order it told a story of love (and i think loss as well)... At the time i wrote this we were learning about those sonnets and were instructed to write our own. In true shakespere style i decided to number mine. The question then came as to what number i should use. I decided on 321 because i used to tell people that i had a 321 zoo in my house. 3 dogs 2 lizards and 1 fish... however since then two of the dogs had to be put down (rip cindy and bootsie) and we got another dog and 3 hermit crabs. Some of the hermit crabs died and the fish... well he comitted suicide... just goes to show you, you really ARE a rolemodel for your pets! lol well anyway the new total is 2 dogs 2 lizards 1 hermit crab.
Back to the sonnet tho. This is about a dancer and a dancer's emotions... however it can be applied to many many other people and situations (i think)
Hope you enjoy!
